Firstly, that I could traipse down through reception in my nightgown ,process through the building ,onto the lawns and hence into the large body of fresh water and swim with my Labrador! Its why I chose this Hotel. Secondly, the food. The main eaterie is too fussy for me- I call it 'Picasso on a plate' and I veered towards the Brasserie and their food ( no doubt prepared by the same Chefs but from a differing 'Pallette' for a different palate !!!!). All the staff were up to the mark and nothing was beyond them. This review covers every single one I met so I shall not name names as that would be totally unfair. The comfort of the room and in particular the bed was ...well worth the admission fee!! Value for money was one of the Boxes to tick in the preceding survey and I always find it a strange one to answer . Depends how much money one has surely? I don't have nearly as much as I would like( enough to stay full time at this place would be sufficient) but had enough on this occasion to say it was not parted with in a begrudging manner ...and I suppose that means value for money. Would go again if only for the Lake, the staff and the fresh air !!!

The Imperial Palace Hotel is an absolutely beautiful hotel in a fantastic lakefront location. The hotel was purpose built as an hotel and it is nice to see it still functioning as such. Any upgrades or alterations to the lovely old building have been done in keeping with the architecture and style of the period. The guest book made for interesting reading. We chose a slightly more expensive lake view room and it was worth it the views are incredible. All services Concierge, Check In, Restaurant staff, housekeeping etc were to a very high standard. We were travelling in a 26 year old classic car and were allowed to park right outside thank you. There is ample secure onsite parking. The grounds join onto the lakefront public park with ancient trees a beautiful lakefront bar and recreation area etc. You can swim in the lake or hire a boat etc.

I am still wondering why the Imperial Palace is only a 4 stars hotel !! I still can't get the answer when you see the building (full of history), the quality of the equipment, people, food, size of the rooms, a casino, a spa ... I really don't understand. Everything was great, we had the opportunity to test the 3 restaurants and each of them was fantastic. Of course, the restaurant La Voile is the best in class in terms of food and execution. It was a fantastic experience. The room was big, we had one with a terrace with a view on the garden and lake so it was wow effect. During our stay they had a Jazz festival which was nice.

Absolutely stunning hotel, beautiful location. The staff were so helpful They organised a taxi for us to get to the train station on a hot day with no problem. Would highly recommend staying here and will return here again!. Please give my thank you to tge staff at the desk and the concierge (I cannot remember their names but they were 3 men). They are fantastic staff and I hope they are appreciated 😀

The hotel and room was absolutely beautiful and the staff were so helpful and polite. The hotel location was perfect and definitely had the best views of the lake. Annecy was a really lovely flat 15 minute walk from the hotel on pedestrian pathways along the side of the lake. If you can afford to, definitely book this hotel, you won't regret it.
